FAB INDIA - SWOT ANALYSIS & MY EXPERIENCE WITHFI

πŸ”΅ πŸ”·FAB INDIA - SWOT ANALYSIS

πŸ”΄ Fab India did not start as an apparel brand nor was it founded by an Indian.

πŸ”΄ But today it’s an established brand in India, valued at $282 million!

πŸ”΄ It began as an exporter of home furnishings by American entrepreneur John Bissell.

πŸ”΄ Fab India was founded in 1960 with a focus on sustainable employment for artisans.

πŸ”΄ Its mission is to celebrate Indian craftsmanship by bringing traditional, handmade products to a global audience.

Strengths:

1️⃣  Strong Brand Identity: Fab India has successfully established a brand that resonates with Indian tradition and craftsmanship. Its products are synonymous with quality, authenticity, and a deep connection to India's cultural heritage

2️⃣  Diverse Product Range: Fab India offers a wide array of products, from apparel and home dΓ©cor to organic foods and wellness items. This diversity allows it to cater to various consumer needs, making it a one-stop-shop for ethically sourced, handcrafted goods.

3️⃣  Loyal Customer Base and Retail Presence: With over 357 stores across India and several international locations, Fab India enjoys a strong offline retail presence. This extensive network, coupled with a loyal customer base, enhances its market penetration and brand loyalty.

Weaknesses:

1️⃣  Premium Pricing: Fab India's products are often priced higher than those of mass-market brands, which can limit its appeal to price-sensitive consumers. This premium pricing is due to the brand’s commitment to quality and ethical sourcing, but it also narrows its potential customer base.

2️⃣  Limited Appeal to Younger Consumers: The brand’s focus on traditional designs and sustainable products may not resonate as strongly with younger, fashion-forward consumers who are more inclined towards fast fashion trends.

Ⓜ Ⓜ My experience with Fab India -

➡ I have noted their international outlets in Gulf countries.

➡ Never attempted to explore itself, as the brand has registered the cost in my mind strongly. (It stops you from exploring itself, if you are not rich - )

➡ For LAKSHANAM Anniversary, my friend wanted to gift me and was adamant I buy from Fab India.

➡ 16th August 2024 was my first visit to their store in Pondy Bazar. My God! It is a different world. I could not come to hate any textures. Everything was so soft and warm and fit right in you. Definitely a wonderful place to explore , wear and feel different and good.

➡ I struggled to find the cheapest kurta which was 2.5 K.

➡ But NO DOUBT, the QUALITY of their every product is EXTRAORDINARY.

😩 😩 Very rarely I get this regret of not being super duper rich. FAB INDIA gave one such moment.

πŸ’’ πŸ’’ My friend wanted me to buy more and more. I stopped saying I feel awkward to stand here. Due to the compulsion, bought two kurti's for Rs. 5300/- The best comfortable outfit in my collection.

πŸ’¦ πŸ’¦ Irrespective of its extreme comfort, Unless I have an easy money to spend, I WILL NOT SPEND on it again.

πŸ‘€ πŸ‘€ QUALITY VS PRICING (will discuss )
